I Have Arrived

Yes folks, I have officially arrived at the point in life where I can no longer get everything done. I've long heard of this phase, but never quite understood. It used to be that if I began to feel overwhelmed I could take a Friday morning and clean, get caught up on laundry, sort paperwork, etc., and all would be well. Alas, it is no longer possible for me.

Things on my proverbial "back burner" right now......

1. Vacuuming, I can't remember this last time I did it. I LOVE my hand held Dyson but it allows me to go way to long without using my real vacuum.

2. Clipping the toenails and fingernails of the little people in my house. Someone is always looking a little "Lee Press On" if you know what I mean.

3. As I write this both my boys are wearing NO underwear. I'm currently washing everything they own.

4. There are numerous clothing items behind my dryer. We may have to move before I get to that.

5. All our tax info is still sitting out. Need to find space for filing and then file.

6. Clean winter clothes out of drawers.

7. Come up with a plan for surviving the summer.

I know there's plenty more, but that's all I can come up with right now. What's on your "back burner"? And if your answer is your tea kettle I don't want to hear from you.

I love you. You are an old soul ---- comfortable enough in the "skin you're in" to tell us that your boys are naked. What is on my back burner? Making sure my husband has enough matching socks to go to the office every day --- I have a huge bag of unmatched socks. Maybe the mates are behind YOUR dryer. It would alos be nice if I put all the clean laundry INTO the drawers instead of living out of the basket. My kids will grow up and think, "We don't need a dresser ... just use a laundry basket!" Keep cookin' mama...

My back burner looks empty. I am so scattered Linds. You have no idea... well you do. You spent time with me on a bus... Luckily my wife has everything under control. (sort of)

Hope all is well...

Let's see...how about the laundry that has been on the clothesline since Saturday because I keep forgetting about it...I seem to really good at getting projects half done before there is a catastrophe which needs my attention. So I currently have my fridge half cleaned out, a box of summer clothes in my living room the laundry mentioned earlier, and about 13 other half projects...but since today is going to be so nice I think they will have to be half projects one more day!

I FEEL your PAIN! I'm SO THERE! With my full-time job and commute I'm out of the house 10.5 hours every day... It leaves VERY LITTLE time to do much of anything besides the basics - home, supper, clean up, get the boy bathed and in bed. Get myself ready for the next day and bed. Go to bed... Ugh!

Thanks for making me laugh though!

Well, how about getting the John Deere hat off my two year old's head long enough to slip it into your awesome striped bag? Did you find it there? Never loan Theo anything. :)
but Q said, "Hat? Bye-bye."
