away

Hey there folks. I'm going to be at my mother-in-laws house this week (AKA my otha' motha') so my posting may be sporadic. She lives out in the boonies and high speed internet is a thing of the future there.

Here's what the Otha' Motha's house DOES have...
1. QUIET
2. a pond and lots of wooded areas
3. room for my wild ones to run, jump, scream, get dirty and pee outside
4. a very hands on grandma and papa
5. A TRACTOR!!!!!

I'll try and post about our adventures as often as possible.

Out of the Mouths of Babes

Sitting at the table, drinking my coffee.....Brennan (5) comes running inside with these words....

"Mom, I need my gloves, I'm gonna squeeze a rattlesnake's head and then wack it!"

ps...for anyone concerned, no, we don't have any rattlesnakes around here.

milk suckers

On Monday I bought 3 gallons of milk. This morning they are gone. Are you kidding me? My milk drinkers are 5,3 and 1, what happens when they are 15, 13 and 11?

A weekend in Hutch

We went to Hutchinson last weekend to celebrate my Grandma's 90th birthday.  She actually turned 90 in March, but it was the only weekend all 31 of us could get together.

First let me start by saying...I love my family!  Every single one of them.  There is no proverbial "crazy uncle Larry".  We all have so much fun and genuinely enjoy being together.

We spent 2 days at the pool and it was great.  All my kids love the water.  Best of all the boys are completely occupied for several hours.  They only require food every once in awhile, other than that they are happy.

We had the birthday party on Sat night at a restaurant called the Anchor Inn.  Someone asked me a few years back if it was seafood, given the work "Anchor" in the name.  Never in the 20-some years previous had that ever crossed my mind.  It's Mexican food.  We love it so much we had it catered at our wedding.

Here's Grandma with 12 great grand kids (#13, maddon, was sleeping like a good boy)

sorry

I thought about waiting exactly one month before posting again, but then decided I'd like to keep at least a few readers.  So, sorry about the impromptu hiatus.  A lot has happened since my last post, some good and some very, very bad.  But I don't feel like exposing it all to the blog world quite yet.  Maybe I'll write about it later, we'll see....I'm so mysterious aren't I ?!?!?!

In hopes to appease you all I'm going to try and post lots of pictures this week.  So stay tuned!
